Arriving to Cape town (Tom.M)

The two hour flight to Cape town wasn't too bad although we were all tired from the early 4:30 am start that day. The best part of the flight was when Table mountain came into view as soon as the plane began the descent. Let me tell you it is pretty big and very flat (hence the name table).

After the flight we passed through the airport and got on to another very nice bus which then took us for a short drive to where we met our host families for the next two nights. Again the team all agrees that our hosts are very welcoming and supplied us with an excellent dinner and breakfast the following morning.

The games today were tough. They were both very physical and mine was certainly more physical than I was used to. This was also the first time many of the development team had played eight minute quarters which was great for fitness and a good learning experience.
